Indianapolis Children’s Photographer | Lydia 6 Months

I have had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous girl since she was born (check her out here and here). Lydia is such a little doll! I always love being able to catch up with my littlest subjects to see how much they have grown and changed. Since we are well into another typical Indiana winter we opted to do Lydia’s 6 month session indoors. We stayed nice and warm and got some sweet smiles out of everyone. 🙂

As usual, her mama had some super stylish outfits for her. You guys, she’s wearing a baby fringe scarf. Way too cute!

Her big brown eyes are seriously so beautiful!

Stephen and Stephanie took turns feeding Lydia and we took advantage of the opportunity to get some pictures of Micah playing with them. He has a huge personality and loved getting some one-on-one time! After his time in front of the camera he kept asking when it was his turn again. Always makes my job easier!

Of course we had to get an updated family shot!

Miss Sassypants!

I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to take Micah’s picture again without him thinking he needs to be wrestling or climbing all over his dad. Stephen seemed like he loved it just as much as Micah! 😉 This kid is not short on being loved, that is for sure!

Lashes for days!

I cannot get over how much I love this picture. I texted Stephanie after I saw this shot and told her how great motherhood looks on her. Her kids bring out the best smiles on her. Love love love!

Oh my gosh. That face!

Stephanie worked with Lydia on her sitting skills before her session. Next she’ll be crawling in no time!

Micah couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a picture with just his sissy. Watching him be a big brother and taking care of Lydia is precious. He adores her and vice versa!

Lydia, weren’t you born just yesterday? I cannot believe how quickly these sessions sneak up on me. I don’t have kids of my own, but I imagine time goes by even faster for parents. I’m so ready for her 9 month session. Fingers crossed we’ll have a nice midwest spring and be able to shoot outdoors by then! 🙂

Indianapolis Children’s Photographer | Raegan 3 Months

I always love when parents book a years worth of sessions for their babies. It’s such a joy to see those tiny little newborns every few months and to see how much they’ve grown. Raegan took things easy on me during her newborn session so I was slightly expecting the same thing this time around. She decided to take just a 20 minute nap that morning and then she made us really work for her smiles during the rest of the session, but oh my goodness, those sweet grins were sure worth all the jumping around like a crazy person.

She is seriously such a baby doll!

I can never get enough of seeing those cute gummy smiles!

The irony of this adorable face she is making is that seriously about 20 minutes before this Raegan was completely OVER it. She was D-O-N-E. Lindsay fed her and snuggled her for a little while and we decided to keep going (I had only been shooting about 30 minutes!) and just test things out to see if she would cooperate and she shocked both of us when she was ready to start all over again! So glad Lindsay has the magic touch because some of my favorites from this session are of Raegan just wrapped up and hanging out. 🙂

While this is certainly not the best picture in terms of photography rules, lighting, etc, I could not bear to delete it. When Raegan did the pouchy lip I about died and Lindsay said she does it all the time. Reagan, you can get whatever you want with this sad face!

Lindsay wanted to throw on Raegan’s Christmas dress for a few too. Little Miss Fancy Pants seems like she likes it! 😉

I am so bad at commenting on every single image. I know, I know, but this one is my FAVORITE! I am such a fan of serious faces and Raegan pulls it off beautifully.

She’s in the spit bubble phase!

The last outfit her mama wanted was this cute snowgirl onesie with the leggings. Even though it’s her size, she is such a peanut it still fit her a little loose!

Raegan I can’t believe how much you’ve grown and changed since the last time I saw you. You are still just as sweet as ever and I cannot wait until your 6 month session this spring. Fingers crossed for no snow so we can head outdoors!

Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Lila

If there are any of you who actually keep up with all the blogs I post, first of all, THANK YOU, and second of all, remember the mama-to-be who had not one, but TWO maternity sessions with me? First a group session with her cousin who was also pregnant. Then again with just her husband, Chase. Here’s who we have been so ready to meet, baby Lila! She sure is one lucky lady to have such awesome parents! Kevin actually goes to all of their sessions because they’re so fun to be around. Gotta love friends like that!! Lila’s grand debut session was no different. We packed up all the gear and headed over. Chase and Kevin helped out a lot by eating pizza and playing video games. Ok, ok, so they did help hold the blankets at some points. 😉

Look at her fuzzy hair!!

Lila wasn’t too sure about getting her picture taken, but I’m always sure about how much I love a good crying face! 🙂

This was exactly the 5th picture I took of her. She was not shy about flashing some smiles!

I swear I won’t have a commentary for all the pictures, but I had to tell you all that this is one of my favorites!!!

Lila’s mom, Laura, is a hair stylist and make-up artist. We actually work together mainly on senior sessions and she is FANTASTIC! This was one of her only requests. Lila and the make-up brush. So many girly elements going on! Love it!

This little miss decided it was time to party and stayed WIDE awake for at least 30 minutes. She didn’t want to miss the action! 😉 She had so many hilarious expressions for us. She’s already showing off her fun personality! 😉

Chase’s mom made this quilt to match her nursery. This also happens to be another favorite of mine!

She is just a peanut!

Chase, Laura, and Lila thanks so much for allowing me to capture these wonderful memories for your family! Kevin and I are both so grateful for your friendship and are excited for what the future holds for the three of you!

Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Jemma

When our friend from college Andie told us she was pregnant we were really happy for her family. Then when she asked me to come to Michigan to photograph their newest arrival we were even more excited! What could be more fun than getting together to celebrate a baby?!

Baby Jemma, thanks for being born! Not only did we get to see your proud parents and brother, but also because you are way too cute! After her pictures I just snuggled her while we sat around chatting. Perfect way to work out some baby fever, right?

Jemma wins the award for the smiliest baby!

Those cheeks of her are seriously pinch-able! And she’s clearly already mastered the perfect pout!

See what I mean? So smiley!

Have you ever seen more adorable back rolls?

That little cutie pie over there is Jemma’s big brother, Bryce. If you’ve seen his newborn pictures, there’s no denying they are related! Bryce also happens to be the most friendly toddler I have ever met! Kevin came along on this session since it was for friends and Bryce warmed right up to both of us instantly. He’s the sweetest kid around! 🙂

So dreamy. This turned out to be one of my favorites from her session. 🙂

Just the curliest toes!

She woke up only once to eat and slept so hard the rest of the time. She spoiled me!

Brent, Andie, Bryce, and Jemma thanks for opening up your home and welcoming all the fun quirks of a newborn session! We cranked the heat, moved all the furniture in the kitchen, listened to white noise endlessly, and it was all so worth it! Jemma was a dream baby to photograph and we had a great time catching up with you guys! Feel free to have another baby so we can do this again sometime!! 😉

Indianapolis Family Photographer | Fankhauser Family

I had been looking forward to this session as soon as Amy contacted me. Last year’s session was a blast and this year was no different, except for no grandparents this time! It’s always extra fun for me when I get to see how much kids have grown and changed over just one year and the Fankhauser boys were no exception!

Family huddle!

Oh my gosh, how sweet are they?!?

Such a great looking family! It’s easy to see where the boys get their good looks! Probably my favorite family picture from the day.

Ethan is quite the little charmer. He has the cutest little laugh and I got some awesome expressions from him!

And Chase completely blew me away with how much older he looks! He’s such a handsome guy.

These boys are so loved!

I love their brotherly bond!

Last year I was impressed with how much Ethan and Chase got along and this year was the same story. They are just the best of buddies!

My number one pick for the whole session. I love a good snuggly image, especially when it involves brothers who pose themselves. 😉

Scott, Amy, Chase, and Ethan thanks for asking me to capture more family memories of you guys! You all made my job way too easy! I would love to catch up with you guys again next year. 🙂
