Indianapolis Children’s Photographer | Manha

I had the privilege of meeting this little firecracker just before she turned two. Manha is so full of personality! Her sweet smile lights up her whole face and her parents are just smitten by her. I can totally see why! Manha warmed right up to me and by the end of evening we were buddies. 🙂  She arrived to her session sleeping soundly and for being woken up and immediately thrown into getting her picture taken, she did such a great job! She was so cooperative and I loved watching her adventurous spirit while she explored the park.

Just look at those big brown eyes! Gorgeous!

I wasn’t kidding about her personality! She cracked me up all night!

Manha with her sweet parents.

SWOON! I’m so partial to dramatic black and white images and this is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken all year. Manha you are just too pretty!

Manha has a fantastic collection of sunglasses and she loves to wear them. Her mom wanted to include the shades in pictures so they could capture Manha’s current favorite things.

She sure is loved!

Super stylish!

Another one of her current favorite activities is tennis. When her mom busted out the racket, Manha got so excited! Love this!

My favorite from the whole session!

Manha was getting a little squirmy at this point so we took an airplane scouting break.

Love this one too!

It was nearly completely dark at this point, but we couldn’t resist getting a few more in her girly pink dress as the sun was setting! I’m so glad we did. She sure knows how to rock a party dress! 😉

Manha, I hope you had a very happy birthday! Imran and Priveria, thank you so much for choosing me to capture these fun memories of your family! I can’t wait to see how much Manha has grown by next year’s session! 🙂

Indianapolis Children’s Photographer | Noelle

Last August, 2013, back when Noelle was still in her mama’s belly, I had the pleasure of meeting the sweet Yates clan. Fast forward to February and this cute little girl made her debut. I’m so glad that her parents wanted multiple sessions to commemorate Noelle’s first year. We just did her 6 month session and I am blown away at quickly 6 months have flown by! She went from a sleepy little newborn to a curious, bright eyed, sitting up, happy big girl!

Noelle could hardly contain her smiles when her fun mom, Laura, was playing with her. Also, check out her teeny little chompers! Too cute!

Going into sessions with multiple kids can sometimes be nerve wracking because you just never know what kind of mood the kids will be in. Laura got 2 outta 3 kids to take a nap and it showed! They were all so well behaved, cooperative, and happy. Always makes my job easier and we get better pictures out of it! I swear Noelle likes me…she just wasn’t too sure about the game I was playing with her brothers. 😉

Typical big brother with the goofy faces!

Little Miss Big Shot! Check out her glitter sandals. Girl stuff is too fun!

Gage is very two and very excitable. He wanted nothing to do with pictures and yet somehow magic happened and I caught quite a few genuine smiles from him!

Chris is a great hands-on Dad. He corralled the boys while Laura and I were hanging out with Noelle, but we had to make sure he got a few with his baby girl!

This kiddo LOVED the grass. She could have cared less about anything else going on as long as she could grab handfuls of grass. Love this of Colton. He’s such a well behaved big brother. He’s also all boy and loved climbing around and exploring.

We tried hiding the grass from Noelle so she couldn’t keep trying to grab it. 🙂

Then Laura scooped her up for some cuddles and Noelle just lit up. Total mama’s girl! This is my personal favorite from the whole session! Noelle’s precious smiles and Laura getting to love on her littlest. <3

When Chris and Noelle dashed back to the car, I grabbed a few quick shots of Laura and her boys. She is seriously such a great mom! Her kids clearly adore her!

So many adorable expressions! I can’t wait to catch up with the Yates again in February for Noelle’s first birthday! Thanks to Chris and Laura for being so flexible with our start time. We scheduled this session back in July and of course, in typical Indiana fashion, the chance of rain popped up. We moved up the time and finished as the thunder rolled in. About 15 minutes after we left, it was POURING. I call that a win! See you all again in February!

Indianapolis Children’s Photographer | Ava

Earlier this year when Sara contacted me about Ava’s 3 year pictures, I got pretty excited! I got to meet the Richey family last year and just adored them. They are so sweet and down to earth. Ava is seriously one of the most well behaved 3 year olds I have ever gotten to work with! She is sweet natured and her personality seriously shines through in all of her pictures!

Kicking things off with one of my favorites.

Ava clearly loves her parents! I am digging all the color in this picture, btw. Love the bright outfits with the awesome orange wall!

Major concentration going on here.

Enjoying the fruits of her labor. Ava trying to pick these flowers was just way too cute. Sorry for the lack of low reaching flowers for any else who may have stumbled upon this spot! 😉 She wiped them clean!

Ava loved running around Fishers. We shot early morning when it was nice and quite. She had the whole place to herself!

Happiest 3 year old ever!

If you’ve read any of my other blog posts then you know that I am a total sucker for B&Ws. This image is another one of my favorites. I feel like she’ll still be making this face when she’s a teenager. Her parents love it so much that they even ordered it in a canvas. <3

She just hopped on up and started crossing her arms like a pro! If any of you are wondering where her picture perfect dress came from, Sara said she found it at the Farmer’s Market in Broad Ripple. And yes, those are little itty bitty kid sized Sperry’s.

Another one of my favorites of this awesome family!

Those big eyes!

See what I mean about tons of personality?? This may not be the most 100% by-the-rules kind of shot, but it sure does capture the heart of a 3 year old. And I happen to think that’s the part that matters. Mitch, Sara, and Ava, thanks a million for contacting me again this year! It is such a pleasure to spend time with you all and I hope to see you again next year! 🙂

Indianapolis Senior Photographer | High School Models

This is one of my favorite sessions of the summer. I roped two high schoolers from our church into modeling for me so I could work with my new hair and makeup artist. We picked out outfits, accessories, hairstyles, etc… it was definitely an all out girl’s day! Good thing these two are not camera shy. They were both total naturals and the camera LOVED them. I would be thrilled to have them in front my lens again! These girls are both such a joy to be around and we all had a great evening hanging out and exploring Zionsville. I have been so excited to share these images here. Take a peek and enjoy!

We started out in downtown Zionsville. It’s now one of my favorite places to shoot!

We clearly didn’t have any fun. 😉

What you can’t see is exactly how high up she climbed to stand on this…in 4 inch wedges! You go girl! This awesome floral headband is from in Fishers.

Those eyes!

Love love love these sweet girls and their friendship. Pictures are always more fun with a friend along for the ride!

Drop.Dead.Gorgeous. She brought her modeling A-Game! My favorite of Jenna.

She has such a heart of gold! Can you believe she’s not even 16 yet??

My favorite shot of her! So beautiful! At the last minute we had a dress swap and this one could not have been more perfect on her. Love when things fall together like that!

Love that sweet smile of hers!

Decided to head to this location at the last minute and so glad we did! Their boho-chic outfits worked perfectly here!
Thanks so much to these girls and their parents for letting me borrow them for a day of pictures! HUGE thanks goes to my hair and makeup stylist, Laura Fairchild. She is such a rockstar and the girls adored her! She is so fun to have at sessions. Please don’t hesitate to ask about her pricing. She loves her job as much as I do and will do a great job!

Indianapolis Boutique Photographer | Lily & Sparrow Boutique

Earlier this spring I was doing some blog hopping and came across the newest women’s boutique in Fishers. Lily & Sparrow is hands down the go-to boutique for fashion forward styles and the sweetest owners (they’re sisters!!) you could ever meet. I approached them about working together and nearly died of excitement when they decided to go with me over the other photographers who had also reached out to them. After a few weeks of planning we scheduled our first shoot for their fall lookbook. We voted for an ‘Indiana in the fall’ feel and luckily I knew of the most perfect location. What’s more fitting than a real Indiana farm in the fall, right? Even though technically these pictures were taken in August. 😉

Let’s kick things off with the always stunning, Carly. She owns the hair salon, MakeFresh, that the boutique is attached to. She is also responsible for all the fabulous hair styles you’re about to see!

Twilight called.* They want to change their original cover to this. *in my dreams.

Maggie, seriously, save some gorgeous for the rest of us!

Oh hey there Allison. Lookin fierce!

You guys, Carly is a mom. Of TWO kids. I can only hope to look this perfect when I have kids!

We joked that this is their girl group album cover. Love all these outfits together!

The girls dragged out the door prop from their store. I’m thinking I may need to start borrowing it for shoots! It’s so fun!

Little bit rock ‘n roll. My favorite of Maggie.

My favorite grouping of outfits. Love all of these!

Love this of Carly. Hello sunlight. Thanks for showing up!

Vegan leather jacket, you guys. So perfect for fall!

Girl next door. So pretty. My fav of Allison.

When some teaser images were released everyone went wild over this maxi. It’s even prettier in person!

I LOVE every single detail of this outfit!

Fall floral jumpsuit. Way cool!

Model faces…

…which never lasted too long with these fun ladies! Jen and Steph, I have been having a blast working with and getting to know you ladies over the past few months. Thank you for trusting me with your ‘baby’. I am so ready for the holiday shoot we have planned! And for those of you who haven’t had a chance to head over to the boutique, make time! It’ll be so worth your while!
