Indianapolis Maternity Photographer | Cousins

I have been so ready to share these images for few weeks! Laura (my amazing hair stylist and makeup artist) and her cousin, Nicole, grew up on the same street together. Talk about instant made best friends. Cousins and neighbors? Color me jealous! My nearest cousins were at the very least 3 hours away. These two mama’s-to-be had a joint baby shower and wanted to have pictures to surprise their mom’s. Evidently, it was a big hit and tears were shed! Go Team Surprise! Love that!

This is my favorite from their quick session. It had just rained a little beforehand and we were all nervous we’d have to postpone. Luckily the rain stopped and we were good to go. Only downfall, it was so humid and sticky out! They weren’t phased by it at all and still managed to look gorgeous in every shot!

They brought their husbands for a few quick shots of the 4 of them. These guys are such a hoot! They were great at keeping the girls smiling! Laura and Chase’s official maternity session is coming up soon and I *cannot* wait to work with them again! Last fall they rocked out their session and I am so excited to help capture this new phase of life for them! Laura and Nicole did some Pinterest searching for ‘friend’ maternity shots…this one tugged on their heartstrings (see what I did there? HeartSTRINGS? Ha.) since their kiddos will be second cousins and hopefully best friends too. Their due dates are within a week of each other!   Aren’t they so cute together? Nicole and Justin are having TWINS! A boy and a girl!! She looks so great!  And we had to end with some belly comparison pictures, of course! 😉  Laura, thanks for asking me to help you guys out with the surprise! I am so excited for your maternity session!

Indianapolis Children’s Photographer | Izzy

I am so partial to this cutie it’s not even funny. I have taken her pictures yearly since her newborn pictures and I cannot even begin to thank her mama, Heather, enough for always coming back to me. Izzy may look teeny tiny, and she is, but her personality is HUGE. She is so funny and I always look forward to her antics. This kid is a HOOT!

Here’s a collage I put together showing just how much she’s grown (along with me as a photographer!) over the past 3 years. Crazy! We’ve done every single one of her sessions at the Ambassador House. It’s a fun tradition and neat to see how the house never changes, but Izzy always does.

Ready for some cuteness overload? Just a general PSA: I didn’t touch her eyes. They really are THAT blue!

She is such a happy girl!

Favorite status! Love this one!

Hi Izzy!!!

Ok wait, THIS is my favorite! Don’t let that adorable grin fool you… This girl is MISCHIEVOUS and I’m pretty sure this is the face she uses to get out of trouble! 😉

So I’m thinking I have too many favorites. Let’s just say this is one of my favorite sessions from this summer! Can you believe a THREE year old sat and posed like this long enough for a picture?? I literally told Heather that we could be done right then and there. Money shot!

Lashes for days!! Heather, good luck when she’s older… I’m guessing Izzy will work those lashes on all the boys! 😉

High-five!

I honestly cannot believe how big she is! Blows my mind!

Of course, for every perfectly posed picture, there are at least 5 like this. 3 year olds…what are you going to do?

Happy birthday Little Miss Thang!

Heather and Izzy, when I heard from you about this session I could hardly believe it was that time of year again. I am so thankful to you for sticking with me for all these years! I have loved every session with sweet Izzy and genuinely hope to see her next year!

Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Elaina

I have been so looking forward to posting this session! Elaina is the last baby from my June baby boom and you guys, she was the PERFECT newborn to shoot. She slept so soundly the whole time we were moving her around, she didn’t fuss, she is just a happy little girl! Her parents are incredibly genuine and I enjoyed spending the morning with their family of 3.

Think pink. Think girly. There’s a whole lot of that coming your way!

I love everything about this image. The way you can see her curly little fingers, her sweet cheeks, her dark hair. There’s no denying it, Elaina is simply gorgeous!

At the end of her session we popped into her nursery and it is DARLING. Elaina wanted to show off her cute bedding and got a little bit of love from her mama.

I’m a sucker for antiques and heirlooms and smiling babies so this just picture perfect in my mind! Antique catalog drawer, Elaina’s mama’s baby blanket (made with love by Mary Kathryne’s grandma), and of course the best part, Elaina’s adorable grin.

Her hair is so perfect!

Mary Kathryn and Eyad have this new parenting thing down. They seemed like old pros and I was impressed!

Not going to lie, I love this bucket image! And that’s another one of her mama’s baby blankets. Love that.

So this is probably not the kind of prop you were expecting to see. Elaina’s great-grandma bought this outfit set decades ago (they think she was intending on using it for one of her own kids or grandkids) and Elaina had the honor of breaking it in as a surprise for her great-grandma. Doesn’t she look like a porcelain doll?

Sweet and simple.

Squishy cheeks!

Eyad is a hands-on (diaper changing and all!) first time dad. He loves his baby girl so so much!

Beautiful baby girl.

Wide eyed and ready to hang out! Eyad, Mary Kathryn, and Elaina, thank you for letting me invade your home with all of my props and accessories. Elaina was such a great baby that I wound up staying longer than usual because she was so cooperative and sleepy. Worth it!! I cannot wait to see her again for her 6 month session! Congratulations on the new addition to your fabulous family!

Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Lydia

I have been looking forward to meeting this little girl for so long now! I remember when Steph told me she was pregnant and we immediately crossed our fingers for a girl and voila! She is just so perfect and I LOVED being able to snuggle her and work out some of my baby fever. 😉 I am so stinking excited to be able to photograph her first year. She is such a little doll baby and it’s going to be a blast to watch her grow!

Such creamy skin!

Baby toes are one of my biggest weaknesses!

This little princess came out a bit chubbier than anyone was expecting, but still just oh so perfect!

Her nursery is purple so we had to make sure to do a purple set-up for her. It’s definitely her color!

A baby in a bucket. It had to be done and she slept like a champ through it!

I still can’t believe this kiddo is a big brother! If you asked him what his baby sister’s name was going to be, he would always say ‘Henry’. So here’s my favorite picture of Micah and Princess Henry. 😉 These guys are going to be the best of friends!

‘No more pictures!’

Love a good ‘daddy/daughter’ shot. Stephen is just so smitten!

She is seriously such a pretty baby.

Poor baby girl… modeling is not an easy job!

Stephen and Stephanie, thanks for letting me capture this upcoming year in your family. I cannot wait to see how much Lydia grows and changes over the next year. September will be here before we know it and we’ll have so much fun doing her 3 month pictures!

Here’s me teaching Lydia how to find the perfect selfie angle before she even left the hospital. Gotta start them young! 😉

Indianapolis Maternity Photographer | Mahan

I always love shooting couples and this awesome pair was no exception. Lindsay and Cory are expecting their first baby, a girl, and I had the privilege of spending the evening hanging out and getting to know them. Cory kept us all laughing and Lindsay could not be sweeter! They are going to make fantastic parents and I can’t wait to see them again when baby ‘R’ arrives! Lucky for me, they booked a ‘grow with me’ package so I’ve got a full year ahead of me of photographing this growing family!

They aren’t telling anyone the name, but wanted to get her first initial decoration included in pictures.

Oh my goodness, that smile of Lindsay’s just says it all. She is so smitten with her man. 🙂

Lindsay is one gorgeous mama-to-be. You can’t even tell how disgustingly hot it was that night. She is rocking that new mama glow!

I don’t think I can emphasize how much I *love* dramatic black and white images. This one made me swoon.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that baby girl Mahan will be a redhead like Cory. Redheaded babies are way too cute in my opinion!

These next two images are some of my favorites from their session.

Love that summertime haze!

Who knows what he’s saying to her, but whatever it was, it worked! Look at that sweet smile!

Cory and Lindsay, thanks so much for choosing me to capture this exciting year in your life. I am looking forward to meeting baby R in just a couple months and getting to watch her grow up! It’s going to be a fun year!
